Our Story

Dr. Amy and Dr. Matt met before going to physical therapy school with similar interests in health and physical activity. Amy attended Chapman university and Matt attended Western University of Health Sciences. We got married and had our first child (Teagan) during our time at school. After finishing school, our family moved back to my hometown in Felton, CA.

Amy has worked at Dominican Hospital (Dignity) for the last 5+ years helping a variety of different patients including: orthopedic post-op surgeries, stroke, cardiac, etc. As a student, Amy completed a clinical rotation in a Pelvic Floor Specialty outpatient clinic. Amy has a passion to work with women who have pelvic floor pain or dysfunctions, including urinary incontinence. Amy has officially joined Santa Cruz Mobile PT as a practitioner and is available for Pelvic Floor patients in our private room at The [Movement] Lab in Scotts Valley, CA.

Matt has worked at Precision Physical Therapy for the last 5+ years working with orthopedic pain, injuries, and surgeries. He was able to work at Sutter Maternity and Surgery working with post-op orthopedic surgeries and eventually was promoted to clinic director of the Scotts Valley branch of Precision helping establish a sports rehab clinic in Scotts Valley.

We started our own physical therapy practice to help educate and empower the community of Santa Cruz County to stay active for as long as possible!
